A few months back I learned of a leak in my steering rack. I replaced the reservoir, added an in-line filter, flushed and refilled the system, and added some stop leak (forget the brand) at the suggestion of Red.
This has worked great so far. No more leak, fluid level isn’t changing.
However, I have some noticeable whine when turning, not just at full lock.
Is the belt the next thing to check? Then the pump? From what I’ve read it seems like this pump has a fairly low failure rate.
