I'm trying to replace some seals in my power steering reservoir. In order to do this I need to remove the pulley. I read somewhere that you should just be able to push down on the belt to tension the pully then remove the bolt. I cannot get enough pressure on the pump to budge the nut. What the hell do I do? I've got ATF leaking all over the place and am sick and tired of smelling it.

if you're just pulling the reservoir there's just a couple of bolts on the backside of the pump. no need to mess with the pulley. there's only one o-ring at the base of the reservoir.

I got it. It just took a combination of pb blaster and sheer will. There is an o ring on the bolt that goes from the frontside.

Now I've got another problem. I lost the key for the pulley. Is this readily available, or am I screwed??

you can pick up a new one from the dealer, a couple bucks i think, i couldn't get it to fit back on mine ( i lost my key too ), so i just hand tightened it as much as i could, 8 months and no problems, yet

So you are running without the key??

So if anyone is interested, since the pump for cruisers and mini trucks are the same, you can take the key off of a mini truck. And since everyone seems to have like 3 or 4 parts trucks laying around, they are easier to find.
