Lost my pump the same way - leaking
so I did try the Volvo pump (Saginaw) and tried to use the LC pulleys, but I just could not get the pulley/shaft to work right.
Had to put a notch in the brackets for access as discussed above.
Talked to Kurt at CruiserOutfitters and saw what he did with his FJ40 and a Saginaw.
Using the metric Saginaw, the toyota hose matched perfectly. I used a SBC pulley (chrome). Used a chrome universal bracket from Autozone, bent the bracket to fit and it worked great ---- until my 2F went toes up. So the pump is awaiting installation into my rig with a SBC.
The old PS brackets worked fine (after some grinding) with the pump and the SBC pulley.
Took the space where I had a JimC idler pulley, which replaced the AirPump. All that is gone.
No emission checks here.
One NOTE: I did this AFTER I installed the headers. With OEM exhaust, it is a PITA
yes, I painted the resevoir can orange. I painted each "new" part I modified in the engine bay, that way I could remember what I had done.
