hey guys, i have a 1988 troopy that is a factory 2H. I bought it with a 12ht in it but managed to kill the 12ht , so i decided to drop a 2H back onto her and all has gone sweet until i went to hook power steering and radiator hoses up when i found that the bottom radiator hose clashes with the p/s pulley. the 2H came out of a 1983 or 1984 60 series. Wondering if the p/s positioning changes and if i can throw the correct one in. cheers

How much does it interfere with the rad hose? I couldnt see any difference in the part diagram of he pulley assembly but they are not to scale.
I was wondering which engine mounts and brackets you are using,HJ75 or HJ60? They vary between the various 2H engines and I was wondering if the engine was possibly sitting a bit lower than what it should be.

it is a major clash, there is about 1000mm clearance between the bottom radiator output and the pulley which the stock hose does not fit. I have the 75 brackets and left the mounts that was on the 12ht in there. cheers mate

Looking at the parts number there is a bracket ,part number 44443-60030 for the 80-84 HJ60.
This part does not cross reference with the later HJ60 and HJ75 which uses part numbers
44443-60070 (11/1984 - 09/1985)
44443-60071 (10/1985 - 07/1987)

So it seems you need the bracket off a later 2H but have a good look before you part with your cash.
You might need another belt as well

Are you talking about the mounting brackets that bolt onto the engine mounts? The 75 are very different to the 60 so just wondering if the 75 ones differ at all from early to later models. Cheers

The 60 bracket is longer because of the wider chassis than the 75

Im talking about the P/S pump mounting brackets,Im not sure what they bolt too.
The 2 part numbers
44443-60070 (11/1984 - 09/1985)
44443-60071 (10/1985 - 07/1987) are both used on the 60 and 75 series in those years, there maybe a very little difference or they could be completely different.
Get the one for an 88 and it should be good.

No worries I'll look into it and get back to ya. Cheers heaps mate

Had the right power steering pump, there is two different radiator hoses for 60 and 75 2H. Got given the 60 one at repco when I asked for a 2h hose. My bad. Cheers dudes
