I know this only loosely applies to some here but its good fluid and if it works in these applications itd work well in a stock setup too.

PSC now recommends Swepco 715 for their power steering components. (Previously they recommended the AC Delco fluid)

I’m still running the AC Delco PS fluid, it’s good stuff. (There is an arctic version too, for everyones info) We tried it on my buddys rig with full hydro and a TG TC pump and it quieted it immensely, he had a lot of cavitation (whine) before, running ATF.

I did run ATF for a long while with hydro assist and a stock pump though.

I am considering the Raventai flush and using Mobil DTE 24 as well.

I am also looking at Lucas for hydrologic fluid but with so many here with DTE 24 in their 80's for yours I should just click easy.

The only place I had an issue with Valvoline maxlife ATF in my power steering was on the Rubicon in July. To much heat...... I changed out the reservoir every night and it quit acting up. However, if the '80s came from the factory with hydraulic fluid that's probably more better.
