Once again here I go ..
I replace the factory head unit on my 2018 VDJ76 .. all good but the power antenna. I check on the FSM and identify the 2 " antenna " wires on the factory plug .. those both wires are Ground according to my observations .. the other 3rd cable involved in the antenna operation it's the one that came along with the " antenna " wire ( coax for the old school folks - me )
I got the Metra antenna adapter
so I have 3 wires involved on the antenna operation, so far they are not connected to anything and the factory power antenna it's dead.
I see all them ground, but testing here and there got power antena activation ( elevate about 4" ) when I was testing those wires with a test lamp ( LED type ) with 12V at the clamp ( the test lamp light green when in this mode and you test for ground ).
that caught my eye coz I dunno what it's doing the test lamp that result in power antenna activation when I'm testing 2 of the 3 wires for ground .
Maybe someone can help me here .?
