Powdercoat wheel - black or grey

Going to have my stock steel wheels powdercoated. I have seen pictures of early 40s with either the grey or black. Which would be correct. I believe they stopped the body color with the 25s.

Correct for early 40's is black.

IMHO grey looks better though...
 
I have seen pics with both and wondered what would be correct. I do like the grey better though too. Might just break from 100% restored and go with 99.99999% and have the wheels grey:D

Plus I have the riveted drum brake wheels but not ones date coded to my 61, so I have an excuse. Beats the rusted chrome spokes cheapies on there now.
 
I couldn't find date codes on either my 64 or my 66 drum wheels
