Post Xmas Laguna Hansen to San Filipe (Baja)

Considering a post-xmas Baja run. Specifically Laguna Hansen then San Filipe (dependent on weather).

Has anyone done a rumored J*&p trail from Laguna Hansen directly east to Mex 5?

Also, any water in the lake these days?
