Ok I couldnt watch all of you out trail riding without me so i went out and bought another rig. So here is the low down on it. Cant wait to see what it can do.

Mike, the hasnt mentioned a thing. She is always 50/50 on my cruisers. The kids however love it. Our newborn son has my wife pretty busy so not much cruiser enthusiasm.

Ok here are some pics, Very excited and ready to hit the trails. Cleaned it out today and found some of that oh theres no rust there places from the previous owner. Well I guess I should never take another guys word for it, but I thought he was another fellow mudder and would have been more honest. No big deal at least I know how to fix rust.

If yer referring to me doing yellow wheels, nope. I apparently am partial to yellow vehicles (who knew) but I like dem wheels BLACK!!

Great lookin' rig. Green has always been one of my favorite colors. As for the yellow rims, if you go there you'll have a Packers cruiser. I can see one of those foam Swiss cheese wedges on the hood as I picture it in my mind.

Well did a ton of work on the rig this weekend. Sanded the beast and put a new coat of paint. Went and tried something different and sprayed it textured, so the paint is not smooth. I figured it would hide the trail wounds better. I think it came out pretty good. Took it out for a spin and broke a fan belt so the work never ends, but it will have it ready for sicily.

Nice work! I still can't wait to see and hear this thing. And how did you get the whole thing sanded and painted that quick? Did you rattle can it? I still have to sand and prime the hood and that "new" fender I picked up from Larry. Those are on my list for this week.

Finally got the new shoes put on the FJC. I got these BFG KM's almost a year ago as take offs from a buddy's Jeep. He upgraded to bigger tires and sold me all 5 with ~5k miles for a steal of a price. I couldn't have bought 2 of these for the price! Anyway, I was just waiting for the OEM tires to wear out. The last few times I drove the FJC I noticed a lot of wheel spin when the pavement was barely wet. So, I measured them yesterday and it was time.

Went from 265/70R17:

.....to 255/75R17:

I like it......although, I did not tell Sandy that I swapped them and she did not notice it last night when she got home from work. She WILL notice today, when she makes the drive across the Causeway bridge as these do make a bit of noise. I guess I will finally have to tear apart the interior and put in some sound deadening material. It is something I have been wanting to do for a long time and now I have "motivation".
