Looks good, and disk brakes all around. The 4runners are catching up with 80's.:grinpimp:

Congrats Dan. Very nice 4Runner. Is that a factory locker in the rear? Whats up with that motor? We need specs.

just a reputable company that has the balls to give out a 3yr 100,00mi warranty on their rebuilt motors.

this motor has 100 miles on it presently.

i believe it is stock with efi and header.

just a later model toyota elocker set up with a cable actuator.

another deal that cannot be passed on.

i have been talkin about a 4runner build since before the 60.

loved them at SCC. their performance on the trail was impessive to say the least.

especially watching josh kill the canyon with open diffs and 32's.

my turn this october josh. :flipoff2:

this truck is my answer to gas prices and our dilemma of no transport.

i might build this one pretty mild to say the least.

Awe, I thought we were going to see another SAS swap :hmm:

This 4-Runner is what he was refering to there were several very nice heavly built runners at the crawl. This one towed Dan through some serious trails back to camp without breaking a sweat. Very impressive rig.

This little jewel is something like Paul needs. He did the same diesel swap in it which looked like it came from the factory.

yeah maybe i will have any unfortunate bugs worked out of this one before SCC!

those guys had some sick runners!

i loved that truck and the diesel swap reminded me of when i was a kid and they had those little toy trucks called stompers.

a little beyond what this truck will be for now.

i have been cruising other areas of the forum and yota tech lookin for a 2lte hahahahaha........evil laugh.

As long as you know, all stormtroopers have to answer to Vader.:flipoff2: Oh, and pull me out when I get stuck.:hillbilly:

you two are a hoot in all these years have you ever I mean EVER seen Vader or a Stormtrooper the least bit dusty let alone muddy?LOL

well like i said "we" may actually need to hit a trail this year.

uhhhhh i still think i like "stormtrooper" better as a name.

who knows i may drive it back and paint some cow spots on it and call it "may belle".:hillbilly::hillbilly::hillbilly:

that be-in said do like the handle for both rigs!

you both should carry your laminated letter from George so as not to have the copy right gestapo harass ya on the trail when you get em dirty.

a California duster wouldn`t be a bad idea to carry as well!

hey no darkside jedi mind tricks here buddy.

that would actually require us and our vehicles simtaneously be on the same trail together..........

Wouldn't that be a first.

you up for the SCC this year?

Depends on work.

you two are a hoot in all these years have you ever I mean EVER seen Vader or a Stormtrooper the least bit dusty let alone muddy?LOL

You have a point. But my thirsty (vader breathing/sucking fuel sounds) rig is dusty, dirty, and full of marsh mud.

well made it home with the 4runner.

i just keep thinkin' to my self that i ripped the seller off.............so far.

sweet truck great fuel mileage on the way home and runs superbly. a/c even kicks ass.

only complaint is that the cable for the locker is frozen or the locker is not operating causing the actuator to not work.

and no spare tire.

yeah minor details.:meh:

it looks much better in person.

congrats:clap:
