Trade Possible trade

Ok so i live in the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia and as you may know we have to smog anything that is 76 or newer. well i picked up this awesome 78 and after much back and forth i have decided not to try to build it and fight smog. so I'm thinking that a trade might be my best bet. so here it is.

A very clean 78 roller. Tub is unbelievably clean. there is only one cancer spot about the size of a quarter on the rear right sill. everything else is surface rust. rear fenders are bent out where the PO buried the tires somehow and flared them out. totally fixable. The engine compartment is totally empty except for the bare block which is most likely toast. no dash knobs or gauge cluster. Has the front bib but the bib hinge is missing. Has roll bar but one side of one bracket is missing plus someone added to the front but it can be cut off. has running boards but the supports are missing.

I would like to trade for an equivalent 40 that is 75 or older and preferably 69 or older. The truck is in hemet, ca.

If you dont have a top and doors, thats fine i will just keep these and we can trade topless.

why ditch it?? smog is absolutely no big deal. drop in a 5.3 or 6.0 vortec with the cats it came with and go to the ref. it is nothing to be scared of. once it gets ref'd then they put a sticker on it and you take it whererver you want every two years for smog. I've done numerous swaps here in cali and its not that big of a deal. not bad enough to get rid of a good builder at least.
