I am sadly having to sell my LC. I got it June 2023 from the guy who imported it. For some reason he imported 2 different vehicles from Japan and decided not to keep this one. I ended up getting it via Bring a Trailer, went to Texas and drove it home. In April I got a new job requiring a ton of commuting, didn’t want to put that many miles on this one as well as have poor fuel economy for 1000 miles/week on occasion.
It has a 2UZ-FE with just under 124,000 KM (just under 77,000 miles). Equipment includes an aftermarket grille, fog lights, an Adjustable Height Control suspension, 17″ aftermarket wheels, automatic climate control, a cassette stereo/6CD changer (in vehicle but I currently have them disconnected as to use the FM receiver instead), cruise control, aftermarket seat covers as well as a cargo compartment-mounted portable stove and sink. All badging has been removed. It is in secret squirrel mode.
The cloth seats under the seat covers are immaculate. If they were sat on, it wasn’t for long.
Per previous seller the timing belt was changed (I do not know if he did it or had it done prior to arrival in US). I did not use the stove or sink and both look like they might have never been used.
Brakes and rotors were changed just before I bought it. I swapped the wheels/tires that were on it as I had a brand new set of tires I wanted to use. They were a different size than the ones that came on it, bought a set of used Lexus LX-460 wheels here on MUD, put the new tires on them. They have less than 5000miles. AC works fantastic. The only “big” issue I found is the cruise control is intermittent. I haven’t been able to find a common time it is/isn’t working. Frankly it wasn’t enough a priority for me to care much about. We have disconnected the gawd damn alarm that goes off when you go over 100km/h and the seatbelt alarm.
This has definitely been my favorite LC I have owned. Yes she is a pavement princess and I am ok with that
She will make a solid vehicle for someone though.
The first picture is current wheel/tire set up as well as current-ish odometer reading. (I took it to LandCruiser NW this week) but it should not accumulate many more kilometers on it as I have other vehicles to drive. I included pictures from the BAT ad, there were some fantastic pictures there.
I am asking $22,000. That is about what I have in it at this point. It’s open to discussion for sure.
