Looking at this beauty, you might think "wow, that's a lot of character!" And you'd be right – 45 years of Southwestern and Southern California character, to be exact. This 1980 Toyota pickup has that coveted "survivor patina" that hipsters pay thousands to fake. Mine's 100% authentic and 99% surface rust (the other 1% is pure determination).

The Good Stuff:

  • 69K on the odometer (total mileage is between 69K and infinity – it's a mystery!)
  • Bulletproof 20R motor with 4-speed manual transmission
  • 4x4 capability for off-road adventures
  • Starts, steers, and stops – the essentials all work as they should

The "Character Building" Features:

  • AC compressor decided to take early retirement (unhooked, may or may not be seized – it's keeping its secrets)
  • Air pump also went on strike and seized up completely
  • Locking hubs leak a bit (adds that authentic off-road aroma)
  • Engine idles at a spirited 1500 RPM (always ready for action!)
  • Takes its time warming up (teaches you patience, very zen)
  • Washer reservoir went AWOL (I have the original, but it looks like it lost a fight with time)
  • Auxiliary oil pressure and voltage gauges are purely decorative at this point

Perfect For:

  • Someone who appreciates "vintage reliability"
  • People who enjoy the therapeutic sound of high idle
  • Those wanting to learn basic automotive troubleshooting
  • Anyone needing a truck that's already broken in
  • Collectors of fine California-aged rust art

This truck has seen some stuff, done some things, and is ready to make questionable decisions with a new owner. It's not perfect, but neither are we, and somehow we all keep going.

Asking $8500 and not interested in trades.
