Well loved FZJ80 Cruiser, not triple locked. Rough cosmetically.
Got it during the pandemic and had a lot of work done both in the shop by Josh at the former Willamette Blvd Serivce Center, and DIY. Was our camping rig, starts every time. New radiator, alternator, sway bar bushings, hoses, PHH, Iron Man suspension kit (3 inch lift), K02s (set of 5), catalytic converters, 02 sensors, transmission solenoids, fluids baselined, Apple car play stereo, and new Kicker door speakers front and back, Front Runner crossbars. Burns a bit of oil but no leaks. $6,000 in maintenance and suspension in past two years.
The disclosures. It seems to have a transmission fluid issue when cold. It shift smooth after warm up. Could use a flush but I haven’t had the space to do it. Some minimal surface rust on frame, see pictures. No body rust, only a couple gravel chip spots on the hood which have a spot of surface rust and would clean up with sanding and touch up paint. Clear coat is shot and front seat leather is worn and stitching coming out. Back right window was broken by a vandal last year and replaced. Window motor works but the window glass should be correctly installed to work reliably, and I haven't had time to replace the bracket holding the window properly and that rubber is dry and not optimal for the new window. Sun roof motor works but I do keep it closed. The oil pressure gauge on the dash is not functioning at the moment also. Small part if you know how disassemble the dash. Missing antena but the stereo runs its own.
I also have a Gofast Campers Superlite rooftop tent, 80lbs compared the usual weight of a lot of heavier tents, and it is a great fit with the 80. They're discontinued so getting rarer. Would consider selling with the truck. Asking 12,000 OBO. 14,000 with the roof top tent.
Good rig, deserves a great home. Will try to answer and questions I can. Thanks.
