The most important enabling component is tires with a focus on overall tire diameter. For a do it all Rocklander, put the calories there.

It singularly will enable more capability and clearance, while reducing the need for armor because going over big rocks is no longer as much a contact sport. Large suspension lifts aren't even necessary or desirable. A mild 2" lift is the ticket.

Go 34, 35s, and even 37s. Spend the effort in supporting mods for those including brake pads, re-gearing, and a mild body lift to pull up the bumpers further. No additional weight other than the tire package.

(we started and owned Moab Brewery in '96 and sold it in 2019)
Dude! I love Moab and I love the Brewery - always good food. And Mick's Jeep! My dad and brother ran RV parks in Moab for awhile (Canyonlands and Moab Valley). I'd be interested in your perspective on Moab - I feel like it's turning into Disney. So many people. So much development. And don't get me started on the side by sides. But maybe that's just the way of things. 🤷‍♂️ Fortunately, there's still a lot of Utah where you can get isolated and remote.

Yeah- between the insane growth both In Park City and Moab ( and Utah in general) we bailed after 34 years in Park City and moved to Santa Barbara. We figured that if we were going to have to live with a bunch of Californians in Park City we might as well live with a bunch of them on the beach!! I started going to Moab in the 60s when it was just a place to buy beer and ammo when we were out in the desert shooting guns and generally raising a ruckus. In fact, when we opened the brewery in '96, we were only the second restaurant to stay open year round in the whole town. The growth was OK up until the early 2010s when it just went ballistic. No need to talk about the cockroaches of the desert (sxs) as they have ****ed up all the trails within 50 miles- not to cast aspersions on all the sxs owners but it sure seems like they more than their fair share of morons!! In 2017 I was down there for some staff meetings and took the pups out to Ken's Lake for a swim. When we drove home we past a line of sxss that was 94 vehicles long!! Likely heading up Hurrah Pass but that just gives
you a glimpse of insanity. Anyway it was a good ride for a long time and I have a LOT of fond memories of Moab and the locals that I got to know.
Enough of an old fart's rants. I know a lot of people still love Moab and I certainly wish them the best and hope they enjoy the experience.
