Hey guys,

I've got this air horn (A.K.A Train Horn:grinpimp: ) mounted in the 80 without air running to it.

The project consists of building a small reservoir for air volume capacity (out of PVC pipe and end caps) and plumbing that to the ARB compressor.

What I need help with is figuring out how to plumb the separate air line to the hirn using a pneumatic switch so that I may actuate the horn with the flip of a switch.

Awesome! Thanks for the link.

Hoser also pointed me in the direction of an electric activated solenoid valve on Ebay.

I'll post later on how it worked out if anyone is interested.

Seems to me that J.C. Whitney still sells a manual switch/valve with a chain that can be mounted over the driver window and lets the driver deliver his honking with a pull on the chain in the good old fashioned way.

I got one from a local big truck shop kenworth dealer i think

similar to the one in post#2

I used to use pneumatic switches from Peterbilt truck parts store for about $13. They were simple on/off switches and worked great.

I'd use something else for the air reservoir though!

Why is everyone so negative about an ABS air reservoir. The ABS pipe can withstand pressures over 140psi and the most this will be holding is a little over 100psi (I think that is all the little ARB can put out)
