I like this sentence “As to the people who drive them, common sense is definitely not one of their attributes; the accident rate speaks for itself.” That’s odd because I don’t hear about too many OHV accidents but it seems like a hiker gets air lifted off one of the local trails once a week. While my observation is only antidotal evidence, Ms. Novack clearly states “The accident rate speaks for itself.” Please supply the supporting data otherwise you are making a logical fallacy and your argument is not valid.

This lady obviously disagrees with what we on this forum do, is likely uneducated about our pastime, and is definitely throwing out some generalizations that are uncalled for. We won't change her opinion or the world by doing the same.

She just sucks. The paper publishes her because she will piss people off and that will help them sell their product, not because the paper necessarily agrees with what she's saying. Look at the attention their site is getting because of this letter. I'd bet they've gotten a few thousand extra hits or more out of the 3 forums I belong to where this has been reposted.

you'll never get that with me,,, i think at some point in my youth i made a pact to myself to never understand the differences in any of that left/right republican/democrat jesus/devil BS, its all one big jumble of scewed idealism to get folks to be one way or another instead of just happy and accepting.
