Please help! Anyone know of a RI in or around Edmonton or Calgary area?

Hello, i am in need of a RI for my 83-BJ42 that i'm importing from Edmonton to California. I'm flying up then I'll be traveling straight down from Edmonton through Alberta(Calgary) into Montana where i'll pass through U.S.Customs. I' have most all my paperwork with exception of the Toyota manufactoring letter inwhich they are not willing to provide me.So D.O.T rules mandate a RI must get involved to finish importation. I've been working on this for over a month now and thought Toyota was going to get me the last document(the letter) but they are ultra uncooperative. So my trip that was planned for next week is contingent on me finding an RI that can help me. Hopefully some of our Canadian bothers can help.Thanks in advance.

Ouch, I was afraid of this.... Keith here's my importer contact info. He's in BC/Vanc. area but can help you anywhere I believe (importer is not present when you cross the border). At the least, he might be able to hook you up with somebody who can. Trevor is a very upstanding guy, great to work with, and has helped several of us USers bring these into the states, so he is VERY familiar with Landcruisers.

Thanks Brendan, i managed to get a RI list from a customs officer in Montana. Found a guy who's going to meet me on my way down to the border. I'm flying up this week. After a month what from Toyota, they provided me with a ridiculous letter that basically said nothing. We know more about these vehicles than they do. Long arguous waste of time. Bottom line, they are not at all interested unless your buying a NEW vehicle! So it will cost $250.00 dollars to get around this failed compliance letter. Worth it, as you know, considering to price for this one owner BJ. Thank you again, i will let you know how the trip went. UNLESS(of coarse) your not busy this week and you would like to come along for the ride????!!!!! Thanks again
