Don't take your side moldings off unless you are ok with breaking clips/not getting them back on.
I'm a pretty big fan of plasti dip and have a bit of experience with it. In my opinion, guys on here that love to go off road, don't dip your rims. It will definitely hold up for a while but you're going to be reapplying on the rims pretty consistently.
I dipped my grill too and it started peeling in a few spots where rock chips would hit it or a fat bug would rip some up. Instead I peeled what I could off of that and used a few coats of bed liner on the grill for durability. No issues in over a year with it!
And as for durability, yeah this stuff is plastic but it's not crap. The durability is almost always limited by the users application. In most cases people aren't going to take the time to properly apply plasti dip and are going to complain like crazy when it doesn't perform like they expect. With proper application this stuff can stay on for like a year or two, close to three in some cases I think. But in most cases it is going to start peeling in certain overlooked application areas, and will lead to disappointment of the customer.
I'm not saying people on here aren't applying properly however, if you're going to use plasti dip, don't complain unless you apply it with care.
