OK, I am going to order parts from Cruiserdan and I have a FSM comming from a fellow IH8MUD member. Here is a question on lubes,

I have read the propoganda put out by Amsoil. Certainly good stuff, but it will require some planning to order the fluids. What are your opinions on Amsoil?

What other syntetics do you all like?

Is anyone running them the syn ATF fluids?

If you have the oil by pass filter, how do you like it? Would you recommend it?

I am using Mobil 1 ATF, its syn. I also use Mobil 1 gear oil for diffs and xfer case and I am currently undecided on motor oil. Right now I have Mobil 1 10w40. I am trying different weights and brands to find out if I can reduce startup rattle. My next oil change will be Mobil 1 0w40 and back to the OEM filter. I have used Castrol also syn and dino.
