It has been a long day. I sold the 80 and it's going to a good home in TX. After that was over, we headed to the Bay area and picked up a 99' 100 series. The only thing that comes to mind is that the ride home was comfortable.

In the past I've done a few build ups. The most memorable was my FJ Cruiser which I regrettably sold in order to buy our home. I never did document my builds but I feel that this time around, I'll take my time and actually post what I've done.

So, what are the future plans? BIOR Sliders, diff drop and skid plates, 4x4 labs rear bumper, maybe a slee blueberry front, DT Headers (I'm in on this group buy), Re-gear to 4.88's, ARB front air locker, Warfield storage, and a lift. Aside from the BIOR diff drop and skid plates (already ordered) the lift is next. This build will all take place over the course of a year or so and as we all know, life can get in the way but that's my plan.

I have no idea which direction I'm going to go but I'm leaning towards the OME Heavy. Any suggestions would be appreciated on the lifts. I've never messed with torsion bars so it will all be new.

Enough of me blubbering about what I'm going to do...here's the 100.

Welcome!......When I first posted here in the 100 section someone said "I just saw a bug fly by and bite you" How true it was! Since you've already done a few builds, you don't need anyone to tell you that! Congrats on the new rig! Nice!

Congrats and Welcome

Congrats.

Start the baselining and make sure all of your mechanicals are kosher before you mod the s*** out of it.

Welcome to the 100 section!

The Slee/Arb heavy 2.5" lift and blueberry bumper arrived and the cv joint leak was fixed with mcmasters clamp. We will be installing bumper, winch, lift and diff drop next Friday. Warfield storage system being made.

Pictures soon.

Have you seen the thread on mud about the warfield drawers? It's in another forum but you should probably check it out.

I'm a fan of Warfield products. Charles is a good dude who has always been good to me. I'm well aware of the issues he has been going through but let me make my own review of his products rather than judge him based on what others have said. I will gladly share my results when I'm done.

That's great to hear, I'm sure he needs the business. I wasn't trying to talk bad about the man, just wasn't sure if you were one that had paid a deposit and were still waiting. I look forward to see all your new goodies.

Major set back yesterday.

Removed CV joint and tried to install new OEM one. It wouldn't go in. I beat the tulip with a 2x4 and a hammer and still didn't fully seat. Wrapped the 2x4 in a towel and hit the boot portion. I tore the brand new boot on a band new cv axle...

I realized today that the snap ring on the inner inboard spline might not have been located properly. I also realized that I have to separate the top A arm AND bottom knuckle in order to reinstall the new cv joint. I can't figure out how you can install it with just the top A arm un-done?

For the bottom if you take out the cotter pin/nut off and put pressure on it from a jack then smack it with a hammer it will come undone.

It's fixed but it was a PITA. I can't see this as a trail repair unless you have experienced help and a heap of tools.

I did the same thing, whacked the boot setting the axle and tore it. It was a small rip, though. Probably not the best idea, but we ended up lacing it with super glue (several coats). That was 3 months ago and so far it's holding fine.

I actually thought of doing that but I just couldn't. I had ordered 2 boot repair kits and they were sitting on the bench staring at me.

Slee Blueberry bumper, warn m8000, and arb/slee heavy duty lift, and BIOR sliders installed.

Next is 4x4 labs rear bumper. Talked to Luke today and it should be done by early March.

This build was not without problems. Someone forgot to tighten the passenger side bottom brake caliper bolt and the 100 seized up while pulling in Valley hybrids shop (Georg) after driving 40 miles at 70 mph
