I ran Pipestone (Hay Canyon) with a friend in a new Bronco yetserday. The Bronco impressed me, front and rear lockers, nice ride... until I heard it was recalled.

Anyhow we ran it from the Whitehall side to Ringing Rocks there was a severly washed out erroded section just uphill from the first legit hill climb. People have started a bypass, but it was loose and had a few tight trees we barely squeezed through. Otherwise, it was the same fun trail.

Last year I ran it in the fall and I would rate it a 3/10 with 3-4 techincal driving spots. This summer I would call it a 5ish without the bypass.

Just thought you might want to know.

hmm. I don't remember this when we ran it earlier this year with the club. wonder if this is new since then. seems like all the trails around here are getting rougher.

I was shocked. The roughness in a few washed out sections was nuts. There were a few spots that would gobble up a 37” tire. Fun thing is the last big optional downhill section looked more tame than I remember. I think the June rains really washed away some of the road.

could the rise in population of side by sides also be a factor??
