My pig is a 71. I need to replace the body supports on both the driver and passanger sides. Are these even still available or do you have to fab them? Any one made em that could give me some advise?

I also have a 74 that is in worse shape than my 71 that I am using for parts. Which has a disc brake front axel. When I do this swap, I want to do greasable shackals. Can I modify my 55 to use 40 shakals and pins? If so how?

All help and suggestions helpful.

Where are you at in VA?

As for your questions I have rebuilt 2 body mounts for the front and will be redoing at least 3 of the other ones at some point along the way. None of the pics are up anymore but give me your email and I'll shoot you the pics. Wasnt to hard a little cutting and welding and there ya go, If you dont possess those skills then it may be a little more difficult though.

I have factory springs, shakles and pins etc. What options do I have on aftermarket parts? Extended shakles, greasable pins, anti reversing shakles. Can 40 shakles and pins be used? If so what changes need to be done.

Hello all,

I have made templates for my floor supports and have made a sample set out of lightweight metal to test fit. I figure that the actual replacements will be out of 16g.

I cant get the pics to upload.

Thanks for posting these.

I do have a set of drawings for these. The local metal shop charged me about $35 for both sets. Email me your address and I will make you a copy of the drawings.

Clemson55, I read earlier that you may be lookin for another pig?
