Hello,
I recently had one of those moments of stupidity and scrubbed a guard rail in my mint condition '06. It put a nice gash from bumper to bumper on the passenger side. Luckily the guard rail lined up perfectly with the ugly side molding. The body only got two little scratches, but the moulding is toast. I bought the truck for pure utility purposes, so I'm not super upset, but it still sucks. To be honest I always wanted to do away with the side moulding (and the whale tail) because I think it looks stupid and out of date, and I prefer the utility look. I looked through all the threads of people who painted the moulding trying to find pictures of the trucks with them off to see what it looks like under there. I know most people chose to paint them while on the truck, but does anybody have a picture of the truck with the moulding off after it got ripped off by a carwash, rock etc.? I'd like to see how many holes are in the body under there. Thanks.
