New LX450 owner and thinking of putting on some new tires & wheels.

What is your favorite tire / wheel combo and main use - i.e - DD + city driving, DD + week-end trials, trail use only. Pics of them on your rig?

Mine will be a week-end vehicle for occasional trail use...when I can find the place and time to go.

cheers,

rattle canned stock rims, 255/85 BFG MT's here, the Tundra 10 spoke/double 5 rims are pretty sweet too.

Hmm the black painted wheels are growing on me...

This is the only pic I have with the wheels done...and my bumper not completed yet. Stock wheels with Duplicolor wheel paint. 35" Cooper STTs. Soon to have 37" IROKs.

Edit: I will get a full pic tomorrow during the day...if its not raining.

hmm, those rattle can black wheels are looking pretty nice! I have the stock '97 LX-450 chrome wheels and they are starting to peel - so trying to decide what to switch to. Figure I might as well do tires while I am at it!

....to many mods....can't decide where to start! I love it!

Tundra/Sequoia wheels in gunmetal gray are the best IMO. I think black spray bomb factory wheels look terrible.

X2 on the Truxs MTs. I've had 2 sets and they wear surprisingly well for what they are, are relatively quiet, and have a lot of traction in mud and snow.

285-75-16 cooper STT's on stock LX-450 rims....good weekend set-up, not my DD

I disagree with some of that.

Taco wheels painted with Rustoleum in Semi-gloss black flavor look REALLY good IMO.

i like my spray bombed wheels. ez to touch up when your scratching the crap out of them every weekend.

35-10.50-16 Boggers and REALLY scratched AR Mojave Teflons. Not a DD, but they are wearing surprisingly well.
BTW, the rig above me is beautiful.
