I had this sucker in/out no less than a dozen times, so I thought it would be worth snapping a couple of pic's for those about to go down the 2xbattery road. I used a coping saw to trim, and files to smooth the edges. I also used a round file to ever-so-slightly elongate a couple of the mounting holes. I had to flex that thing pretty good to get all 5 bolts started... enough that I should probably have my alignment checked . Also gotta mention that these boxes are made out of asbestos, saccharin, tar, and nicotene... so I recommend a dust mask and leaving the dremel in it's case. Still kinda itches.

Here are stolen pic's of Dan (installed yet?) and Beowulf's trim jobs I found while searching for inspiration...

I removed the foam that was adhered to the side that got trimmed off and (half-assedly) adhered it to the radiator...

Very nice

Unfortunately I need these pictures about 2 weeks ago

I used a dremel and found that it created no dust at all, it just melted the material away which also created a nice splinter resistant edge.

Thanks for the great pictures - they will make my job easier. My tray just arrived today.

Mine was way sloppier than that. That is very clean. I split a piece of vacume hose and siliconed it to the edge when I was done for a non-splintery edge!

x2. I'm ready to do the same thing on my newly acquired 2nd battery tray. Nice pics.
