Anyone got any pics of the 6" Slee lift in their 80? I am thinking of pulling the trigger on a 6" kit but would like to see some pics. Any before and after pics would be awesome. Thanks.

Slee 6" with about 5 or 6 years of use/settling in:

Just out of curiosity, why the 6 inch Slee lift vs. the 4 inch lift? I had to make the same decision some time ago and have been extremely happy with the 4 inch lift and 35s. A lot of mudders will argue this but I question the trade-off between the clearance gained with the 6 inch lift vs. the increase in how "tippy" your truck will be with the higher lift. If your goal is to run 37s you can do that with the 4 inch lift with minor trimming. I can run some pretty challenging trails with the 4 inch lift and not even touch the bottom of the truck. Black bear pass near Teluride would be an example. Just food for thought, you should be building your truck for what you intend to do with it.

The kit is about $3800 right now on Sleep's site. Steep but worth it IMO.

When my rig is loaded out with the Rack, RTT, Fridge, a full 44 gallons in the Aux tank, plus the main tank, food, beer, passengers, gear etc, my 6 inch lift essentially becomes a 4 inch lift. :) Well, I haven't actually measured it fully loaded out but it does squat some. I agree that the 4 inch is perfectly fine for 35's. I also run 1.5 inch wheel spacers to avoid some of the "tippy" factor.

Not to offend anyone, but I am building MY truck. It doesn't make sense to me to spend $2900 on a 4 inch lift when I can spend the same amount on a 6 inch.

Also, that is kinda why I asked for pics. Just sayin, .

Also, no animosity towards TexasJack or anyone. All smarta$$ comments by myself should please be taken with a grain of salt. No offense intended.

The plan with the 6 inch is this-
I plan to add a rack, front winch bumper, rear bumper with dual tire carrier, rooftop tent, sliders, fridge/freezers, 4 Jerry Cans, dual batteries, rear cargo drawers, etc. I plan on frequently driving in DEEP snow in the Oregon Cascades. Not totally set on a 6 inch, it just seems more practical to me.

Totally. It's your truck, build it how you like. If no one ever did that, the forum would have more 2.5-4" lifted trucks then it already has.

If you are only running 37s I would stick with a 3-4in lift, these trucks have very tall bodies and get tippy quick. Also when you go to a 6in you have more issues correcting castor and buying driveshafts or part time kit. If I were you and planning on running a lot of deep snow I would get a 4in lift, 38in TSL or iroks, trim a little fender and call it a day, you will probably want a front 1in spring spacer along with that to level it out.

I'm running a 6" Slee kit with 37's and 1.5" spacers and don't feel any "Tippyness" at all.

It all would depend on what you want to use the truck for. For the more difficult trails you'll want to get the belly of beast off the ground as much as you can. As stated above with armor gear gas the 6" will settle in nicely with 37's.

But If you just running mellow excursions and around town 4" and 35'smight be a better bet.

Something I think that's missed in the 37" vs 35" debate is tire width. You'll find numerous threads on here where people are having to trim fenders to get their 37's to fit but all of those are 13.5" wide. With the proper backspacing a 37 12.5" will fit with minor or no trimming at all.

Not sure about the whole getting the belly off the ground as high as possible, Atleast on washington trails the 6in lift is just too tall, lots of big boulders and off camber narrow trails, I have had wayy too many close calls of rolling, when I go to the 4inch this week sliders will be needed but with my current height I clear some incredibly large boulders without them.
