went out for a 4wding weekend about an hour from my house

had a great time only got bogged twice, once when the water was over the bonnet, its a petrol engine, ive fitted a snorkel and siliconed up all the plugs, dizzy cap etc but it still didnt like the water

we pulled it out and it started first go so it was wierd, nothing was wet when i checked it out must of been a gremlin

the other time i got bogged was in the pic below it was deep of really soft mud and i couldnt move

was a great time and wish i took more pics but we filmed it mostly

Looks like fun :D If it has good body you might want to clean the mud out from around the wheel arches to prevent rust.

Do you have the new shackles in yet?

no i havnt fixed the shackle problem yet im gonna try do that during the week

and yeah im gonna clean it tomorrow but the body is fairly rusted so it wont matter to much

in this pic you can see i bent the front bar cause a mate tied the snatch to it, stupid, i was pissed about that

also had a small knock on the front quarter guard/indicator smashed on the drivers side

oh well i had fun

Don't think this is a hi-jack, but got a question for a Aussie.

How often does the average rural driving driver have contact or near contact with the Roos? I've read it's like bugs on the windshield over here, you guys just have to plow through them...

There are deer all over the NW states, I have yet to hit one but have them dash in front all the time...

ARB indirectly claims their Bullbar is a Roobar..Maybe they are worse in parts of OZ?

What's up wit the roos?

not an aussie, but I spent a month driving the eastern coast road from Ulladulla to Cairns to Sydney. There were sections in northern NSW where they were piled up two or three next to each other at the side of the road... the ONLY time I drove at night, a HUGE, HUGE, M-Fer hopped in front of our camper van- barely missed him, scared the piss out of me. yeah, there are lots of em, from my experience...

hijack over, sorry.

Its really a matter of adjusting your speed. Its more the big rigs that plow through them.
Most car drivers die swerving to avoid them
Even with a bullbar that slopes forward roos can come over the bonnet and throught the windscreen. You dont want a big boomer kicking inside your car.
Some people claim a device called a "shoo roo" which is a whistle humans cant hear warns the roos a way. Its a small whistle mounted to the bonnet and just the wind blowing through it is supposed to activate it.

They have the same type whistles here for deer. Never used them, but they have been out for years. Deer are all over the place in the SE too!

I turn my whistles around backwards during season...works every time ;)

Those deer whistles work on alligators too. As long as I've had them on my truck, Ive never had a gator run out in front of me either.
