Nice pics! I like seeing 100's on the trail...makes it easier to justify when I get my hands on a soccer wagon in a few years. Does that trail originate out of Bishop? Sure looks like that area. Thanks

Yes...CF is due SSW of Bishop...can access off of 168 right in town or from Big Pine.

WOW!

I was backpacking/climbing Cloudripper in the Sierra's, camped out at Green Lake, and from a thousand feet higher or so, I'm sure I saw your group heading across the flats at your high point. Sunday afternoon, everybody lined up at the overlook? It looked like 6 vehicles or so, and from the distance I couldn't tell if they were cruisers or not...was it you guys??

Here's a pic or two from my backpacking trip...just up the shoulder from you. I didn't get any pics of your trucks, I was up too high.

You guys are lucky. Those pictures are
awesome. Man, I have to move west. I can only
imagine wheeling in such a scenic area.
Thanks for sharing.

Mars: That would have been us! Or all the deer hunters  as it was opening weekend for rifle/deer. Strange...we heard a big kaboom from one of them around 4:00-4:30AM on Sunday...I am sure Ranger Rick was peeling out trying to find out who it was and why.

So you're a backpacker eh? FYI: We did two 4-day trips in the JMW this summer: One in mid-August and one the second weekend this month. Wow...the amount of snow, high streams and wild flowers were most impressive for the time of year we were in there.

I plan on doing this trip late June early July. I have done the complete lope on my motorcycle several times and know it's a bit hairy on the down hills. Just wondering if the FZJ80 will be able to do it. Let me know because I'm really excited to wheel the whole loop.

Yes, great pics guys !!

That is very pretty country , some of those shots remind me of the Wheeler peak area in Great Basin N.P.

I didnt know you were backpacker Spress...I`ve heard there are a some incredible hikes around that area. I would love to get out for a few days or more in that kinda scenery ! :)

Any more pics ?

I try to get at least one 4-day'r in per August/September: This year I got two! The August trip in Muir was absolutely the most stunning waterfall and wildflower display...it was amazing. Used to get at least one bc ski snow tour/camp in per winter/spring but I have gotten soft the last couple years and now just bc from a lodge or hut ;).

Depends on the snow level...this year would have been tough in June!
