Looks like they are aftermarket fiberglass tops

You are right flounder!! they are vents...they are cool because i drove that yellow one to our mountain house and you can feel the breeze inside...there is another picture of a red one that shows the vents on the inside. I guess they were made in response to the hot weather...temps can get over 100f at times.

Also the fact that they are fiberglass is cool because they last for a long time

Definitely applies most places in the world. That wasn't a slam on Bogota or Colombia for that matter. I've just heard some interesting stories from my travels about rough areas in Bogota.

You are right....I know that Colombia does not have the best reputation but I would say most of the media coverage is a little inflated. i have to agree though there some interesting stories on Colombia. I could personally tell a few stories that would blow your mind...including kidnappings of family members, death threats, ransoms...etc...etc.

currently with the new government Colombia is the safest its been in years, that does not take away the fact that if someone travel there I would recommend to travel with a person who knows and is familiar with the place.
