Phone charger delete possible?

Yea my newest iPhone won't charge in there, the orange light blinks. This has to be one of the worst wireless chargers in any vehicle ever.

I have the idea of what I want to do, using ABS to use that space for USB/USB C power, switches, HAM radio cable connector.

I have not completed this though.

Has anybody tried a unit like this? I can't put mine on the charger for over 30 minutes without it getting too hot and turning off (IPhone 12 Pro).

I would be curious as well. My phone gets really ho as well. I have found it gets less hot when I case off the case, but that is a PITA.

I have been noticing it gets hot in there if driving for more than an hour even if you are not charging anything. I don't think its the charger but engine heat getting in there...
When I put my phone in there with the charger off on road trips the phone gets pretty hot!

if I angle it just right in just the right position and the planets are aligned.....it charges my apple airpods in the case.

Its actually the only good use for it and actually is pretty handy place to store my airpods.
Plus I can listen to my podcasts while driving and let the kids and wife listen to whatever they want on the car audio

And for anyone worried about safety I only put one in when driving

I will buy the charger off someone if it fits in my truck. Only option it didnt have.
I use smaller phones.
