Just bought a used 2006 Land Cruiser and it has what i believe to be an isimple PDXP installed. It has a 30 point end for the old school iPods and first iPhones (up to iphone4). I bought the adapter to work for my iPhone 6 but can't figure out how to set up the audio so that my music actually plays through. From what I've been able to figure out, you have to disable the disc changer or something like that, which might be the case as whenever I press Disc I get the message "DVD Magazine not found" which makes 0 sense as the magazine is in its slot in the center console.

Has anybody else ever installed one or use one in their LC? I didn't install it so i don't know much about it, but want to see if i can get it to work for me.

I installed one of these years ago in my wife's old civic. It didn't have a changer, but if it did, it would have been unplugged in order to use the device. The iSimple box has a cable that uses the factory disc changer plug on the back of the radio. On hers, I'd have to change the radio input to the disc changer, start playing something on the iPhone, and then press '>' (track forward) on the radio.

Do yourself a favor and get one of the cheap 30-pin Bluetooth adapters. I'm sure there are better ones, but the one I have from Coolstream works pretty well.

I had that same PDXP installed on my 2006 LC when I bought it. I have an adaptor that splits the 30 pin IPOD connector into a micro usb and 3.5mm plug. To play music, I have to have the 3.5mm plugged into my phone before hitting the disc button on my head unit. If I don't have it plugged into the phone when I hit the disc button, it shows as no disc on the head unit. Hopefully that will work for you too! Good luck

So, I have the 30 point to lightning adapter so it plugs in fine. When I start playing music on my phone is shows as playing through "dock connector." When I press disc, it stays on the FM screen and says "No DVD magazine" this not providing an option for me to change track or disc...

Hmm, well that sure is odd. Mine either says NO DISC when not connected or when connected to the phone acts like it's playing a normal CD disc, but never any mention of DVD.

So I figured out it was coins blocking the disc player, so now when I plug my phone in and start playing music on disc mode nothing happens...I made sure it's switched on and all and I get he normal disc screen with no discs listed...tried pressing CH/Prog/DISC button and got "DVD error" which I assume means that the disc player is no longer disabled as it appears the tv in the middle row is after market
