My 73 weighs 1865kg and has a aggregate of 2730kg which means a payload of 865kg
The Gross Combination Mass (GCM) is 5230 which is the all up weight of vehicle, trailer and load.

Not sure if that applies to Canuck laws though. Is it on your vehicle lic papers?

My 75 series has an agg of 3050kg and the only differnce is some stronger springs that I can see

thanks rosco

not much payload, when you include aftermarket bits and doodads.

Its not bad when you compare it to others in its class and I think its still a few more KG than a new 200 series;)

it's amazing the difference a few cup holders make :D.

Yeah and thinner steel on the chassis or is it plastic - oops - as you can see I not keen on the new 200 series - I think toyota lost the plot with it.

I just love the 40 70 and 80 series most of all.

Most dealers in oz have stopped adding the optional bullbar, winch, wheel carrier and steel sidesteps to new models because its almost fully loaded when it leaves the premises.
They dont want the legal implications;)

I wouldnt be surprised if the model that replaces the 200 in 6-7 years goes smaller

how would you find out your aggregate of you cruiser
i weighed my 79 on truck scales in the back of wanneroo and it came to 2.5something t with alloy tray and a few slings and tools ,a fully decked out troopy or ute must weigh heaps compared to the middy rockets

Its on your rego papers and is 3050kg . The cab chassis weighs about 1850 without the tray. I think the tare includes the tray and usually bumps them up to 2200kg with a steel tray which gives them a payload of 850kg.
The aloy trays are much lighter, you can feel the extra power on the hills

Thanks mate

Mine is reg. in SA and is rated at 350kg payload, tare weight of 2050kg wich = to 2400kg gross.

Think the Toy spec is about 250kg?????

They are basically the same as a bakkie only shorter, why does the SA govt down rate the 73/74 so much?

My 73 has UTE on the papers. They were sold in the old days when anything stamped UTE could be imported with less applicable tax

Not the same Rosco, fewer and shorter blades. Not that thick, short load leaves. It is not to say our goverment did that, it needed to be registered here and that was were the figures came from. I do not think it will be happy to carry more than 500kg of load, 350kg seems a bit low.
