As I was cruising westbound on IH-10 this morning, a little east of San Antonio, I ran over something. But... there was nothing in the road. My first thought was that something had come off of the LC. It was driving ok in spite of both front and rear tires running over the object. Sure enough, when I got to my destination I discovered that my entire passenger side blinker light assembly was gone. There's just a big hole there. I've googled it and searched on Amazon but I can't find one. Anyone here have a lead on one. I'll also need the plug since a green wire was ripped out of the connector when the assembly left the LC. It's not readily apparent what held it in (obviously nothing did at the end) so I'm afraid that it took some parts with it.

Does anyone know where I can find one?

The bracketry is intact but the lamp assembly is not easy to find. I found a pair for $49 but they are coming
from China. I don't have that kind of time to wait

Coincidentally, my PS lamp was ripped away by the highway speed/heavy wind yesterday too. Depo brand.

The moon and constellation of Land Cruiser must've been in alignment. I emailed Onur... he's out for 2 more days so it'll be awhile before I hear from him...

I have an oem pass side marker. Just replaced them with depo clears after the drivers side was hit by a tree branch during a snow storm.

Edit nevermind after looking at pics it was the passenger side that broke.

It looks like the plastic slot/hoop on the headlight (that the corner light clips into) has broken off, so if you are just replacing the corner light, you are going to have issues getting it to stay put. it looks like you're going to need a passenger headlight as well.

You might check with Cruiser Yard @arcteryx for a used replacement or @ranma21 for a set of depo 1 piece headlights

Top right corner is broken off but the screw remained. Looking at the drivers side that looks like it comes on the lamp assembly. Bottom right side still has the piece from the lamp assembly "clipped" in. The headlights are still glass lenses and were replaced by the original owner. I may have to change it but it won't be my first choice...

From memory, there is a hoop/slot on the headlight that a "tab" on the corner light clips into, that hoop/slot on the your headlight appears to be missing in the picture. The corner light also has a tab up top (in the engine compartment) that has a screw that holds it on. You can try to hold it on with just that screw, but in my experience it isn't held in very well with only the screw/bolt, and you'll likely be buying another corner light soon, if you go that route.

That was probably the only thing holding the light on before it left the premises. It fell out when I was on Black Gap road in Big Bend and I had to push it in and tape the bottom on with gaffers tape...

Looks like it was held on my double sided tape and the tape was tired and gave way.

Gaffers tape. Kind of like duct tape but stronger. I put that on a few months ago (May) when it popped out when I was on Black Gap road in Big Bend. I have been trying to figure out how it was bolted on the bottom (it's not) since that trip. The LC sits until I go somewhere that's not work. Saturday was the first time since May.

I have a spare at home but this will have to do for now... :hillbilly:

Unfortunately, the female tab on the headlamp is cracked and was probably the cause of the problem.

Well crap. At least I know what I need when/if Onur answers my email. He's been out for a while and that's going to make for a big back log

The loop is still there. It just has a piece of the marker light housing tab in it

Onur is back in the saddle and I talked to him today. I've got the left and right side side marker / blinker assemblies ordered. Why both? The Yota parts have a yellow lens. While talking to him I went out and looked at the remaining assembly. It was all clear and made by Denso. The PO had changed them. I wanted them to match so I went with a pair of stock assemblies. While I was at it I ordered the timing belt and water pump "stuff". August is going to be a busy month

I think you mean "Depo" not "Denso." I have/had the Depo clear corners.

During the same trip, my DS corner lamp also flew off on the highway, doing 80 mph. I had several spares at home and compared the Depos to OEM. On the lower tab, the Depos had a less pronounced bump/tab therefore easier to dislodge from the headlamp. The upper tab (screw on) was also thinner/less sturdier.

In conclusion, the Depo corner lamps are inferior to OE lamps. If you prefer, clear OE corner lamps are indeed available from overseas sources.

If the tab is still present on your corner light but it no longer engages with the slot on the headlight, you can drill a small hole through both and pin them together using a cotter pin.
During removal of my headlights (Morimoto HID retrofit) I cracked the tab off my driver side corner light and it would no longer stay clipped into headlight, cotter pin worked great and is easy enough to remove (from underneath bumper) for bulb replacement if needed.

Thanks for posting those pics of open fenders. I never figured out what people mean about cutting off the little metal tab if you chose to replace a fender from any year onto a 06 07 lc.
I just had to deal with that.

Oops, yes, Depo not Denso. I went with the OE's the Onur was able to get (not clear corner). When we are on the phone he mentioned that a model number was out of production but I don't know which it was.

That's a good idea. The whole corner light was gone. When I reinstall the new corners, do I have to remove the headlight and attach the corner so that the whole assembly is installed. Onur mentioned that might be necessary

No worries.

What's the proper way to remove one without breaking anything? Since I bought my LC a couple years ago, my passenger signal housing has been loose. I want to remove it and see what's wrong, but I'm afraid of breaking something worse than it already is.
