Dealership has my 09 LC, they charged me $700 to diagnose why passenger seat is not working and now say: Body Control Module / ECU: 82733-60364 - After removing body ECU and connectors to check wiring in the rest of the circuit, found that there is continuity in wiring directly from body ECU to the RF seat switch assembly as well as the 2 junction connectors in between, issue is malfunction with body ECU. Looks like I can get it for $800 from ToyotaPartsDeal, or $1,250 from dealer.

Anyone done this before? Any programming required with the module or keys? It doesn't look complicated, just tight space with a ton of wired that I'd be at risk of causing further damage.

What caused the failure? Anything wet in the area of the connectors or ECU?

I am not sure, I just bought it. During the purchase the seller said it was occasionaly popping fuses. We replaced the fuse, and the forward and back worked, but once I hit the lean back, all motions stopped again. I got it home and went to replace fuse, and found it was not blown, but did have voltage. I needed an oil change so took it to the dealer to let them diagnose.

They sent me pictures of the body ECU, and from what I can tell, everything looks clean and dry.

How odd. Fuses blow for a reason. I suppose it could be caused by a bad ECU, but I’d check the condition of the connectors in the passenger door sill.

Thanks for the feedback. Dealership claims they tested switches, they did send pics and they look clean too. Guess my option is to have them do it for $1750 or do it myself for $800...

They sent pics showing both channels open and no mention of anything wet. So at least it does seem they are being thorough.

Looks like they did check things out. If the vehicle is still in this state of disassembly, I’d suggest letting the dealer finish the job. You’ll at least have a parts warranty on whatever they do.

So I approved the repair, but the part was going to take 4 days to get here, and I need to travel next weekend. So, I had them put it back together. I have it back, same thing, now no power to the switches. I'm trying to move the seat up so I can fold the rear seats up. If I turn the nuts on the seat rails (shown with pink paint on the nut) clockwise, it moves seat back. If I do counterclockwise, the nut comes off.

Any ideas on how to manually move the seat forward?

Now I'm thinking to hot wire it so I can just move the seat forward, but I cannot find a wiring digram. Anyone know where I could bring power in at the seat to give power to the controls?
