Poser set me straight.. Oh my what ive learned since..

Did a bunch of searching before I posted but that thread eluded me.

I think the best thing might be to apply some obsessive behavior to obtaining the GM drivetrain to match my 14 bolt full floater. Might piddle with the 44s but not sink any kind of $$ into them.
 
The lowest gear you can get for a 14b are 5.13s and you can go as low as 7.17 for the 60 if you wish but would have to run another 60 in the rear or a 70.

Nope, you can now get 5.38 or 5.39 for the 14 bolt, I can't remember which it is. My neighbor just put a set in a few weeks ago.

I wouldn't run any lower than that in anything. You start getting a real small pinion. 4.10 to 5.13 is a big difference.
