1985 fj60 which ran pretty great but wouldnt pass DEQ.
So, with all the tune up parts and new Cat the truck finally passed oregon DEQ! I am pretty psyched on that.
however, now it runs a little funny...almost like its lacking a cylinder.
I had the cat replaced at a cruiser shop and I noticed that it actually has a sensor on the backside of it. does that sensor go to a computer somewhere?! I thought that maybe its not reading the "flow" correctly. but the trucks era doesnt add up to any computer technology to me. maybe I am wrong.
I had the same landcruiser shop adjust the carb idle back and try to "fatten" it up, but I am little confused if it actually gave the truck any more body. it does, however, go up hills now...but still really slowly.
also, the PO had the timing 18* deg advanced! now its back to stock which I am sure helped in the DEQ, but I am wondering if I should just advance the timing again.
thanks for any help.
