parts for disc conversion work?

Guys,

I'm appealing to all your technical knowledge to help me know if the parts offered for sale in this thread would work for me in converting my '71 fj-40 drum brakes to discs.

Those are some of the parts you'll need. If you buy that from him, you'll still need the locking hubs and birfields. You'll probably spend at least $100 more to get the rest of the parts you'd need. I would not buy it at the price he has listed.

You can find a complete front axle for between $150 and $200. That will give you everything you need, plus some parts to sale.

FWIW, I bought a complete front axle about 2 months ago for $150, so they are out there.

Thanks R.K., that is what I thought. I got a PM from someone who had a complete front axle (from a 78 fj40) and wanted $350 for it also. Both seemed on the high side to me from everyone else's feedback.
