Do any of the area dealers offer a parts discount to Razorback members?

I would like to buy parts locally, but their retail pricing has up to 3 times the discounted prices that we can get from American Toyota or Lowe Toyota from being on Mud. Lowe ships for free (on most parts), so I wind up just waiting on the shipping.

It is rare any of the local dealers have what I need in stock, but they can usually get what I need the next day. Please don't take this as meaning I expect the dealers to stock parts for my 16 year old vehicle.

If I were the dealer, I would rather get some sales at a lower margin rather than none at a high margin. Besides, I typically have part numbers to provide the parts guy.

I still get 20% off using the arttora discount. Either it's that or they just give me the "manager" discount. I go up there so much though they recognize me and discount parts without me asking lol.

I will see what I can do for u guys on pricing, the parts manager is a cool guy. I would have to see what these other places are pricing the parts at to see if he can match them. Of course I get a pretty good employee discount.

American Toyota and Lowe Toyota offer 25% off Toyota list if you mention you are a mud member.

Thanks for your help. I try to buy locally when it makes sense.

Since I used to be a Razorback member Ill tell you I never got a discount in Ark. John at Toyota of Dallas or one of the venders here has worked for me. Mike

Ok guys I have talked with Jack the parts manager about the discount for members and will give 25 percent off list for Mud members. If you have any problems let me know. This is at Landers Toyota in Little Rock.

Excellent news! Thanks for your help! Do we need to place all orders through him?

Any of the guys in the parts department will take care of you. He used to sponser one of the groups get togethers he said a while back. Not sure which one though. He also said let the other groups know they can get the discount as well. I don't know any of the other boards for 4runners and other toyota clubs.

Thanks for setting that up for us. I usually get all my parts through Bill. He's a really cool guy to deal with.

Maybe I'm way off but I order parts for my dad's tacoma, my wife's 4 runner, and my LC all online by searching for the manufacturer part number. Then search to find the cheapest one that i selling a denso part and make the order.

That's what a majority of people do. But sometimes you need the part sooner rather than later, and you'd rather drive down to the dealership and get the parts.

Sadly though, if your vehicle is older than 6 years or so, it seems that every part is "special order - 3-5 days wait", and if you drive an 1987 FJ60, you don't even bother with the dealership and go straight to the internet everytime. :D
