Parts dealers in Capetown

Hi all,

Currently in Ethiopia working on an FJ70 with a 3b engine. Looking for some oem or decent aftermarket parts. Pretty tough to find quality material here so thought I'd look while on holiday in SA. Anyone know good dealers down that way? Will be there later this month and if stuff takes a bit to order I can do so now.

What parts are you looking for ?
In Cape Town your choices are basically limited to the stealers.In Pretoiria/Tswane you have N1 4x4, Gemini parts and Tokia 4x4 parts cc.

Well I'd really like to find a new instrument panel - not sure this is the place though. The FJ had a fuel engine previously and they swapped it for the 3B. So there's no glow plug light etc. The system is also 24 but the panel is 12 so they blew half the board out when they swapped it over by not wiring it correctly. Whats the best way to attach pics? Can't seem to figure it out here.

Also looking for small stuff like gauges and a sender for the oil pressure. I guess I could find those at the chain stores though pretty easily. Other small s*** too like oem window knobs and possible floor mats.

Have you tried some of the dealerships closer to you ? Gibraltar etc

Thanks dude I'll look those up. The issue isnt finding the parts, but getting them shipped in and customs is a total nightmare here. They charge crazy amounts for simple things. So always best to try and hand carry to see what you can get away with. Thanks for those links.

Good to know about the fact no 70s made it down there! 3Bs either!

Gibraltar is still a bit far from Ethiopia xD
