Newb question here. I can pick up a 62 and and a 70 dirt cheap and I'm wondering how many of the parts are interchangeable? (brakes, body parts, drivetrain, electrical, etc.) it looks like I'll either want to put the 70 tranny/transfer and brake system, into the 62, or allot of the body parts of the 62 on to the 70.
Thanks

Quite a few of the parts are interchangeable. It also will depend on what model of 70 you're talking about as there are numerous voltage and engine combinations.

A "62" is pretty much an 1988 or 1989 FJ62. A "70" can mean about 20 (or more) different things.

The 62 is an 88 and the 70 is an 83, I'm going to look at them this weekend then I think I'll have a better idea what I'm up against. From the pics on c list the bodies look identical

No way the bodies are identical, if it is indeed a 70 series.
