I have a 1979 FJ40 to part out.
Body is shot as is frame. No pics yet. The good news is that it is already in parts.
All dash stuff, roll bar, jump seats, rear heater, front and rear ends complete.
Tranny/transfer ect. 2F on engine stand. Let me know if you are looking for something.
Prices are cheap or trade something for a rear tube style tire carrier in any condition I only want the hinges.
Pics will be soon.

Matt, I'm looking for the following:
-distributor/coil/ignitor
-steel fuel line from pump to carb
-pigtail of harness to plug in to back of alternator.

I do have a tubular sparetire rack in GC to trade.

Let me look

Jim,
I should have all of what you need and trade strait up for the carrier.
It can be a nasty tire carrier I only need the hinges.
Your advice and carb rebuilding has helped me a ton over the years.

79 FJ40

Well I picked up the truck and wow it is rusty.

I will scraping most of it and am in the process of putting together a list of what I have.

Beyond all of the smalls I have the 4speed and T case free if you come get it. It will be scrapped next week.
I already have a couple spares and do not need it.
The 2 F is junk the head is not even close to being flat. the frame is toast

The good parts that I have found.
Jump Seats
roll bar
rear heater
carb cooling fan
Dash switches
Gauge cluster
Ash Tray
Glove box door
front and rear axles hub to hub with free tires and wheels

Free parts
old carb
whatever wiring
anything else from the cowl peddles ect.
Transfer cover
gas inner filler
bell housing
All this stuff is loaded on a trailer and going to the scrap yard in a couple weeks.

Oh why did I pick this truck up? for the factory power steering complete set-up for my FJ40.

You said body is shot, is anything left of the front fenders and or rear wheel arches? PO took a sawzall to the '76 I just picked up. Fuel door? I'm sure there are a few other small peices I could take off your hands...

Hey Matt! Let me know if you still have the 4-speed and t-case, I wouldn't mind having a spare!

Ok I have gone through it

So far the only parts left from this rusty junk are.

Jump Seats
Roll bar
Glove box door
Instrument gauge
Rear heater with factory copper tubes
Hard top glass and gaskets all windows including the curved ones
Sun Visors
Front and rear drive shafts
Front and rear axles complete hub to hub
Carb
Plastic heater defrost tubing for side windows
valve cover
TEQ oil fill cap
Inner door holders the little things that keep the door from opening too far
top cover for tranny hump the part that the shifter goes through

This thing was in parts when I picked it up and a lot of the parts were not with the truck like fenders or a rear tub.

Sorry Dianna the transfer was cracked and went the scrap yard with the 4 speed. If you do every need one down the road lmk I have a couple good spares in storage.

Sorry Jim a lot of the linkage parts were missing

It was painful to scrap most of this truck but it was just too far gone. Even things like the air cleaner were just Swiss Cheese. Mos of the dash switches were rusted beyond saving.
The 2F head was not flat at all so the motor went to the scrap yard. I did keep the T stat housing and a few other things.
