parting out 72 fj40 roller

complete rolling frame and body. hard top is gone.

so here's what's left:

both axles (will part out):
coarse warn hubs
coarse birfs
fine spline inner axles
third members
u-bolts
spring plates
all four springs
both housings
all steering linkage

body:
tub is in ok shape. has some rust in the usual places but really no dents and rear wheel wells are not cut out. i also have both front doors. they're in ok shape as well, driver side window regulator is bad. also have both front fenders, with the aprons, the hood, the windshield frame (rusted out on the bottom but perfect for a wheeler) with good glass, the bib, a downey "sand bar" basically a double hoop version of the stock bar, the spare tire carrier, the 95% complete wiring harness, all the switches, knobs, trans tunnel,.......

just ask and i might have it. no engine or title, but i do have the 3spd trans and t-case. make me an offer on any of this stuff, would prefer not to ship the heavy stuff. located in stockton ca, always open to trades aswell.

Was this a stock 6 or a V-8 cruiser? It would prolly make a difference in the condition of thetranny tunnel and fenders.

If it's from a 6 banger, I'd be interested in the tranny tunnel.

Also interested in the sandbar, steering wheel and box, speedo and the floorshifter for the transfer case.

the harness is mostly complete; had a different ignition switch wired in, also, one of the connectors at the engine end is missing but all 3 oem wires are still there. let me pull the rest of it and i'll get back to you with a final inspection report. turn signal switch is cool but the lever is busted. i'll send some pics when i have that stuff pulled.

i have the column but the shift linkage is tweaked. also, i already pulled the wheel but i still have it. the turn signal lever is busted and the wire for it was pulled out of the column when i got it. let me know if you still want it, $40 complete including the box plus shipping. should have the gas cap and the windshield knobs but not the passenger seat br, that already got scrapped with the seats.

Switch on early trucks is seperate from the lever....


Ignition key was on the dash, correct? unless this is a late 1972....ie 1973.

yup, the switch is seperate. and the ignition switch was on the dahs but was replaced with a non-oem unit and spliced in.

i have those and can post some pics. a friend of mine from soacl is coming up here for rubithon and would probably be able to briung that stuff back with him if you're not in a hurry and wanna save some time and a lot of gas money.

here are a few pics of the hood. it has a small crease in the usual place, but it's definetly runable/repairable. the chrome strip is in good shape but does have a slight bend in it as well. virtually no rust. if you want the hood and the rear axles they're yours for $150 total.
