Message says it all, I need to make room in my garage. (ya need to see it to believe it!!!). Have a 2F that came from a running FJ60, sounded good, didn't smoke other than a little puff at startup. Did not overheat at all ran at normal operating temperature. Mileage on the truck 165K. Will sell the complete engine for $300 includes alternator and clutch fan/fan, distributor, intake and exhaust manifolds, smog pump and all the smog equipment from the engine and fenderwell.
I'm told 87 was the best year for the 2F engine, a good head design, lighter weight valve components, etc, and it has the best electronic distributor with the dished side cover to clear the big distributor. Won't ship the complete engine but if need be will ship components from it at buyer's expense. I would prefer to sell the engine intact if at all possible. Distributor has some corrosion around it price $50, cylinder head with rocker assembly and pushrods $150. Smog stuff includes pump, hoses and all the components that I kept $75, good intake manifold $35, good exhaust manifold (studs for exhaust pipe mounting are intact) $35, clutch fan/fan assembly $20, carb (doesn't idle real good best for a core I suppose $45, air cleaner $20, alternator $18.
