Parking Sensors front and rear LC100 VX 1999/2000

Hi all my 99/2000 100 4.2 VX front and rear sensors don't work properly.

I have both bumpers off, how can I check if each sensor is OK ??

Not sure but think these were a dealer fitment outside mainland Europe, and the wiring is clearly no OEM, the sensor have been painted body colour and the front tone is different to the rear...

My car has the old square diagnostics plug so would I be right in thinking that the systems are checked via blink testing ?

If someone could give me some guidance I would be grateful.

I don’t believe that my 2001 LX has any parking sensors. I did add an rear view camera though.

@Hillview can you post some pictures of the sensors and wiring? I suspect that it is not OEM part.

What you can do is place a solid object directly in front of each sensor and turn on your system to see if it’s detecting properly. Often times water will get into the sensor and kill it and replacing the sensor is the solution. But you will need to determine the manufacturer to find a suitable replacement.

HI ....... problem is the beeper is on all the time when put into reverse, so not sure is if its 1 sensor or all of them, or is there a problem with the Box ???

Is there a way to test these say with a multi-meter ?

My guess is that it is aftermarket, now antiquated technology. My old Sequoia had it, beeping all the damn time. I ripped it all out.
