Hi guys!
I've been trying to find a good picture of the cable where it goes through the Fire-Wall. My cable has a plate that looks like it fits in the hole, but there's a large gap between the cable and the inside of the hole. Is there some sort of gasket that goes in there somewhere?
Don't know if what I'm asking even makes sense. I'll get a photo put up in a few days if no one figures out my gibberish.
Thanks a lot!

There is a round rubber gasket designed to fit the cable and fill the hole in the firewall. Additionally, there is a metal ring with two screw holes that fastenes the whole mess. If someone doesn't produce a picture in the next few hours, I'll go out and dig the parts up from the mess in the garage.

Yep, and the hole is kind of between and behind you gas pedal and to the right of your brake pedal.

You can see the hole to the left of the gas pedal in the picture in Post #2 here.

Yup, that gasket in the last picture is what I'm looking for. Can anyone see that part in this pic? If not, anyone know where I can get one?
Thanks again guys!

I am looking for the same grommet for my 78. Any luck finding it?

Bumping an old thread. The grommet pictured in post number 4, 90480-30001, is NLA. SOR doesn’t list it. @Racer65 doesn’t carry it. What is everyone doing for these? Seems to run from 1975-1979.

I plan on searching for a neoprene washer at the hardware store, cutting a slit on one end and then maybe using an xacto to whittle a bit of an angle on the center hole. Silicone or weatherstrip adhesive to caulk around it after it's in place. It's not as clean as the original, but at least it's out of sight enough that my OCD won't be bothered by it. :meh:
