Paki tops:
Tops are made in Pakistan
They come in canvas or vinyl.
Canvas needs a lot of maintenance, vinyl does not.
Pakitops have the classic FJ40 look. Cost is $600.
The bows are OEM reproduction. Cost is $600.

OCDBeetle makes a nice top out of a modern canvas commonly used in marine applications.
These are made in the US and I don't think it needs any maintenance, but don't quote me. His design offers a more modern look and the possibility of tinted windows.
Current cost is $640 but will be going up by a couple of hundred when he starts accepting orders again according to his vendor thread.
He does not offer bows.

Pilgram Restorations offers bows for $700.
Real Steel offers bows for $800.

Spector Offroad offers a vinyl top that fits over OEM bows for somewhere around $1,000, however it is not the most attractive design.

So, there are some options out there.
I would just comment that following OCD's post he is pretty much out of business. South Boston do you still do group buys on PakiTops? What is the turn time from order to recieve? Also I'm interested in a set of your bows.

Correction : 'He' being OCD beetle.

NOTE : certainly not trying to highjack this post.

The short answer is no.

When I see that Ehsan has made a consistent effort to improve quality, then I will bring more tops in. I just can't handle having to fix tops when they arrive from Pakistan after they supposedly were QC'd. My cousin owns a high end upholstery business and he has fixed them in the past but it's a hassle for both of us. I had a top arrive that was missing all the straps and buckles. That's a hard and expensive repair.

As far as bows go, they are so damn heavy that it's only profitable to bring them in with other lighter, higher priced items like soft tops. Since I am not getting those it makes selling the bows a poor financial endeavor.

If someone wants a top feel free to contact Ehsan directly.
