I have mostly Craftsman's tools and some other chrome plated tool. Looking to mark the tools I keep in the 80. Want to mark them so when I mix them with the garage tools, I can separate them with ease. I have regular spray paint. Will the paint stick to the chrome tools? I think not but will ask to be sure. Does the Plasti Dip stick to tools? Any other ideas on marking tools for fast id?

I would like to paint my work tools I keep in my semi. I have painted my rigging (chains and boomers) hot pink in the past. No one would borrow-and-not-return the pink rigging for some reason. So I want to paint the work tools hot pink to keep the macho guys at work from borrowing/steeling my tools. Again, I have a can of hot pink regular spray paint.

Chrome doesn't hold paint well unless you scuff that ultra-smooth surface . Anti-theft usually means actually engraving initials or numbers or a name into each individual tool . Colors like that will work also , but paint can be easily removed...I engrave my stuff , deep .

The work tools are from pawn shops so no value. Just want to keep the guys from borrowing them and not returning them. Theft is not a problem but its common for someone to take something out a of a truck if they need it but they never replace it. If its hot pink they might see they still have it in their truck and maybe return it or no borrow it as they are reluctant to use anything femmy.
