I'm giving my 94 some TLC for its 30th birthday, including the valve cover gasket repair and all the old stuff it exposes.

Everything is cleaning up nicely, but the aluminum painted plastic cylinder head covers were stained and wearing through to the yellow plastic. I believe that the only replacement available for the front cover is the black version that came out in 95, so I decided to try to refurbish them.

At the direction of chatGPT, I used the products in the image and got the best results I've ever gotten with something like this. They look like an upgraded version of the originals. ChatGPT added the clear coat step as I emphasized maximum durability, and it also gave it a very nice finishing sheen. It was surprisingly easy to do and the parts look like they're right out of a Toyota Parts bag.

The paint color is "Flat Aluminum. The two plastic cylinder head covers are part numbers 11212-66010 and 11219-66010 .
