There is this product called tal strip.
Its the SHIZZ!
Im using it on my 40 and Im very impressed with it. Seems that there were TWO coats of paint on my rig. I used to take the first layer off. Peeled up easily and just used a scraper. I applied it a second time for the remainder, and it took everything off to the metal. I used a razor blade that time. I did the fire wall to the rear turn light in an hour while on the phone.
